About Us

Our Mission

The mission of the Literacy Program is to provide adults in the greater Plymouth area the opportunity to develop and improve the life and literacy skills needed to achieve personal growth, to further their education, to seek better employment and to benefit their overall quality of life.

Adult Basic Education

Over the years, our Adult Education Program at the Plymouth Public Library has helped hundreds of people in the greater Plymouth area obtain a High School Equivalency Diploma.

The adult tutoring program offers free, individualized, confidential, one-to-one tutoring in basic English literacy skills, as well as English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).
