Become a Tutor

If you are interested in attending the next training, please fill out the form below or contact Kristen Enos, Literacy Coordinator at 508-830-4260 or plymouthlit@gmail.com.

We are so glad you are interested in learning more about tutoring with the Literacy Program at the Plymouth Public Library.

We serve students who are learning English (ESL/ELL). Our students range from complete beginners to those with more skills.  We are always looking for volunteers who would like to help our students achieve their literacy goals and life dreams. Students come to us with a variety of goals from helping children with homework to better communication skills in their job to getting a driver’s license or passing their citizenship exam.

Tutors are matched with learners and then meet one on one at the Plymouth Public Library for about an hour once a week at a time that works for both parties.

Tutor training is available to any adult who has a high school diploma and who is interested in helping others. The training course is offered several times each year at the Plymouth Public Library.

I would be interested in tutoring (check all that apply):
